Contract Manager 

Snapshot of Responsibilities

  • Prepares contract responses to bids, proposals and contract negotiations
  • Prepares RFPs and specifications for distribution to vendors and subcontractors
  • Analyzes all requirements and provisions in contracts, including terms and conditions and non-disclosure agreements to ensure compliance with all laws and regulations and company policies and procedures
  • Ensures contracts are executed in accordance with company guidelines and procedures
  • Conducts research prior to writing and negotiating contracts to ensure understanding of company needs and expectations and client and/or vendor conditions
  • Analyzes contract risk to the business and makes recommendations to mitigate risk
  • Monitors the performance of each client and vendor signed contract for compliance
  • Proactively researches new laws, regulations and contract trends to determine impact on the organization
  • Coordinates with the accounting team to ensure correct billing and collection of contract revenues, as well as appropriate invoicing of, and payments to, vendors
  • Oversees and/or indirectly supervises accounting, human resource and other project team members as their activities interact with contracting and legal document management
  • Coordinates with the sales team to ensure proper use and management of client contracts and change orders.
  • Leads complex contract negotiations and manages all changes in addendums to existing contracts
  • Negotiates and manages leasing agreements
  • Negotiates and manages federal contracts and modifications, Industrial Funding Fee (IFF) sales reporting and audits
  • Develops and implements purchasing and contract management instructions, policies and procedures
  • Delivers speeches, writes articles and presents information at meetings or conventions in order to promote services, exchange ideas and accomplish business objectives

Snapshot of Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Procurement, Contract Management or a related field required
  • MBA preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Procurement and Contract Management
  • Minimum 5 years progressively responsible supervisory experience
  • Certification preferred or the ability to obtain within 12 months of hire, i.e., Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM), Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM), or Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM)
  • Estimated travel of 25% on an annualized basis
  • Willingness and ability to frequently work a minimum of 50 hours per week
